Purchased two 100 Ah lithium batteries from DIYvan. These house batteries will power our maxxair fan, fridge, heater, lights, outlets, and more.

Purchased this battery box from DIYvan so I can save room inside the van and keep the batteries under the van.

Facon heating pad to wrap around the batteries to keep them from freezing in the winter time. I put the heating pad on a 15 amp fused switch so I can turn it off and on as needed. This system has worked great all winter and it allows me to charge the lithium batteries even when outside temperatures are between 15-19 degrees F.

The DC to DC charger is powered from the customer connection point (175A ‘CCP2’ controlled stud) on the driver’s seat base. Connect your positive lead to the larger bolt and then find a good ground to the van body for the negative lead. I purchased the KISAE DC-DC 50A charger from DIYvan. This charger also accepts solar power.

To plan and organize the electrical components I used two diagrams. One from DIYvan with the Smart Plug, shore power breaker, and Kisae charger.

I mounted the metal battery box underneath the van on the driver side of the gas tank.

Custom instrument panel box purchased from DIYvan. This box allowed me to place my battery disconnect, breakers, and outlet in the side wall panel to save space.

I built this custom cabinet to hold the battery control components, the AC unit, and extra storage space over the wheel.

This 1000 watt inverter with 40 amp charger is placed inside the cabinet with vent holes to keep it from overheating. Purchased this Kisae inverter from DIYvan.
